Description

Trapped in nightmares they cannot escape, the protagonists in this painting find themselves constrained in bubbles with terrifying demonic puppets starring down at them from the dark skies above. Some try to break free, while others are too scared to escape, remaining in a state of half-living. The swirling strokes of gouache paint creates a harmonious effect inviting movement and energy into the scene. There is a high contrast between the darkness and the lighter and more vibrant colors: the duality of life, night and day, birth and death.
