3 Trees
Categories:Under £500Oil on Canvas 50x65cm, 19.68″ x 25.59″
I painted in the garden, these three trees standing side by side as if they were one family, and these trees’ branches intertwined, creating a unique chaos of branches. The yellow light and the green of the trees, together with their cool shadows, created a unique color dance.
The painting is on a gallery wrapped wooden frame, it has a wire from behind for hang. The four sides are painted and It can be displayed even with no frame.

Untitled M01

Whirling Dervishes
Categories:PaintingsInvoking Rumi, Shafique Farooqi’s Whirling Dervishes transports the viewer to a spiritual realm in an ecstasy of colour. His images swirl and melt into the heavens above joining mind, heart, and body as they seek oneness with God. Having spent a significant part of his life in Turkey, Farooqi’s art has been deeply inspired by Sufism. His recent endeavor is his book on art and mysticism “The Tale of Drunken Flute in Whirling Dervishes”.
