Categories:PaintingsInvoking Rumi, Shafique Farooqi’s Whirling Dervishes transports the viewer to a spiritual realm in an ecstasy of colour. His images swirl and melt into the heavens above joining mind, heart, and body as they seek oneness with God. Having spent a significant part of his life in Turkey, Farooqi’s art has been deeply inspired by Sufism. His recent endeavor is his book on art and mysticism “The Tale of Drunken Flute in Whirling Dervishes”.

Veil (Spring)
Categories:PaintingsDelicate contemporary mixed media abstract painting on canvas inspired by nature.
The artist explores reality through different materials (acrylics, pencil, pastel), often playing with inserts of collage with pieces pulled from her previous works to introduce the doubt of something more.
In her research, collage acts as a catalyst for the fusion of different times, places, and feelings. The artwork is signed on the front and on the back, and comes with a certificate of Authenticity.
Framing is not necessary because the painting continues also on the sides.
Delivered stretched and ready to hang. -

In the ethereal sigh
Categories:PaintingsIN THE ETHEREAL SIGH – “Laconic Time” CollectionIn the “Ethereal sigh”, the air is everywhere! It crumbles into multiple versions, wanders around worlds, where the highest thought is an abstraction. The air is a ductile element that reveals the truthfulness of living in continuous movement and change. It’s a multidirectional flight in the universe! The impalpable brushstroke directs the movement and projects the vision in multiply points into the Space-Painting. It’s a virtual space!
The theme of this collection are present in my article “Surface Encounter: “Airy waters” – Hidden Talents Collective Magazine; London.
