There are various regional types of doina, with different specific elements. Doina is representative for the peasant’s soul, expressing his most intense and mysterious emotions. Doina is a song passed down orally from generation to generation, it preserves the authentic values of the Romanian people over the centuries. The traditions are still alive in my country and we keep them like that for centuries. And doesn’t matter where we are we still have the song of our ancestors inside us.
