Once Upon a Time is a large oil painting of a colourful woodland path watched over by a small deer where strange things are about to happen. It is 48x48x1.5 inches. The painting shows an autumnal woodland path leading to a light filled clearing. The path is enticing and will lead you to the thing you most want to see there. To the left is a small female deer. Deer are often seen as spiritual harbingers or guides. The painting style is semi-abstract art nouveau and was simply inspired by the thrill I personally get when I walk from an ancient English wood into a light filled clearing. It is often magical and I often feel as if a revelation is about to happen. I am not sure of the basis of that feeling but I am not along in finding Nature quite magical and woodland walking quite therapeutic!
