Description
An oil painting of a conceptual utopia at night, lit by moonlight. The silver moonlight’s reflection, depicted in the landscape, makes one guess if the buildings are inhabited or if the liveliness is brought by the shimming grass which is creating movement. This landscape is evokes emotions and the viewers’ own conclusions on a large canvas painting.
Signed in Sinhala (Sri lankan Language), all my paintings are moments of meaningful understanding and memories. No two artworks of mine are alike, as I believe that even when revisiting a memory of a place, the emotions still vary, therefore, these feelings would produce yet another different piece of work from the same place or memory, rather than a copy. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, so that the buyer receives a unique piece, just for themselves.
This painting comes unframed. It also comes dated and signed on the back in both Sinhala (the artist’s native language) and English.
Artist is an award winner (London Art Biennale, 2019).
