Vase with flowers inspired by the Greek vases at the British Museum. Laura produces abstract paintings whose surfaces are built up with thick, near-sculptural layers of oil paint and acrylics. Producing dense lashings of colour, the artist finds inspiration in Nature while her method recalls the style and techniques of Greek and Roman classical art and architecture . “Although I operate within the realm of form,” Laura has said, “my idea is to go beyond the limitations set by form and break free. My work is aimed at people who are adventurous, resilient and spontaneous. I love pushing boundaries as this is the only way to see God”.
