Description
Hardwood framed, centre-piece painting for `Our English Coast` exhibition 2020.
View across Large Hangman and Little Hangman, towards Combe Martin in high summer, made more dramatic by the approaching storm clouds. A quintissentially British coastal scene with a wide vista of diverse managed land. Steeped in history and hints of the strormy past, as the two peaks that look out to the wide open Atlantic once supported gibbets for condemned criminals and smugglers.
