This vibrant acrylic painting on board has layers of thin paint built up to creates a light mat texture which develops a dynamic non figurative pictorial space using polychromatic colour relationships with forms.
The special depth of the central image gently modulates in relationship to the space around it, the circle containing it and with the interconnected network of relationships in form and colour around it.
Inception refers to that which was there at the beginning when looking back through the experience of time. It expresses a feeling of the beginning of time reaching out to the viewer from a long distant past as the inception of the basis of all matter. It invites a meditative state from viewing but there is a feeling-of permanence too which gives rise to a lingering experience of peaceful satisfaction.
The vision of this unique painting arose from a random set of drawings on cradleboard which were developed by me into a coherent nonfigurative painting through the decisions and choices I made to see forms and relationships arising from the chaotic starting point. I look on my paintings as thought patterns from my own consciousness which differ and offer different holistic experiences as an expansion of my consciousness and the manifestation of its universality of us all within each new work.
