Knitwear as a protagonist

I have been working on this series since 2018. Starting from the premise that the “line is a point that moves”, I conceive the point as the most primary and essential element to develop my works.

I seek inspiration for it in both the macro world and the micro world. In these two universes circular, spherical or elliptical shapes are present and common, and that association leads me to represent them as a way of manifesting our union with nature. I try to show the beauty that nature has given us in these dimensions of life and that normally go unnoticed.

To achieve these concepts on my canvases I create my tools in a handmade way to represent the concept of direct printing. With a single touch on the surface are captured free and spontaneous stains that manage to harmonize the composition in my paintings. I also rely on my brushes and intervene the canvas with acrylic gouaches and inks, recreating with loose, spaced and superimposed gestures the blank surface.
