Description
The artist was inspired by the tremendous pollution when she lived in Hungary in the late 70s. Suzanne’s environmental interest goes back to this time, but it took her 25 years to find the perfect media to execute the real impact of pollution on the world and how our generation became part of it. She started photographing industrial objects, which she embedded into an epoxy liquid. After the artwork solidified and became a 3-dimensional transparent sculpture, it showed the distortion and the air pollution by lighting up the sculpture from behind. Her presentation of the 3-dimensional sculpture sits in a metal or wooden box where she uses LED lights to make the works transparent. She considers these light boxes as her most important environmental documentary.
