I am a german artist, emphasizing sustainability by using recycled material for my art infusing them with emotion, creativity,
and spirit. My fascination for colors, shapes and the possibility to create, combined with empathy and the feeling to be responsible
for how to deal with material and resources, led me to bringing life to abandoned, broken and neglected everyday items by healing and repurposing them into contemporary works of art, looking and feeling brand new. That's why I invented the Recycling Art Concept in 1990: to collect, order, heal and restore material and media, carefully putting them together and "resurrect" them to new life. As a little boy I was fascinated by colors and shapes and the possibility to create something with my own mind and hands. As I was in hospital for some time in my early youth I noticed feelings of sadness and loneliness trying to enter my heart: But there also was this feeling to do something about it and I followed this urge to draw my first meaningful own artwork. It was like a guiding voice whispering to me. So I followed it just to reflect my feelings, and at the same time suddenly making it possible to be whole again, making my darker feelings disappear.
So is my Recycling Art Concept I developed in 1990. It is basically founded on the principle to process used and found materials nobody wants, or most people would see as unimportant and useless, for creating art and to transform my creations into a better self, looking and feeling brand new.
When we look around at the world as it is today, there is so much war and affliction.
