Three dimensional imaginary landscape.The work evokes both, Earth and decay, the inherent beauty and perfection of materiality and the very evident seduction that lies in the magic of colour and organic forms. This chromatic and remarkable painting precedes an approach to an elaborated painting technique by using Laura`s own designed mechanical machines to paint to construct flawless alien landscapes made out of paint.
“I don’t record landscapes from a specific place, space or time, my observations lead me to offer a sense of peace and a new creative form that presents my interpretation of life through paint.”

When Laura paints she enters a spiritual and philosophical realm as she experiments with her paint machines building up thick layers of paint on the canvas.

This piece emerged naturally from Laura’s colour experiments and is all about balance and the interplay between the colours, and the nuances of the composition.

Throughout her practice Laura seeks to investigate the question ‘why do these pieces feel so magical and special?’
