Artist Statement
Candy had studied life drawing for years when she was 16. During that period, she adeptly depicted the world using lines and shades in her figurative practice. Her passion has evolved over time, and today, she is deeply intrigued by the idea of seamlessly merging the boundaries between drawing and painting.
In her artistic journey, she enjoyed weaving together the elements of her daily surroundings, personal experiences, memories, and the people she cared about. Her studio is always based in her home.Her works consistently show a sense of sketching, figurative representation, and unique juxtapositions, and mainly created with acrylic, pastel, charcoal and ink. Her art reveals her struggle of being alive, the connection between her mind and body, how people caring for others depends on the appearance and self -distrust.
