My goal is to continuously express an artistic vision increasing the public awareness towards the purity and beauty expressed so bluntly in the entire natural life of our world, celebrating through color and form, this Renaissance of 21’st century fusion of mythology, digital era and the eternal need to earthly raw vitality of life.
Artist Statement
I discovered painting as a natural approach after my childhood years, having accumulated a background based on the education I received in sculpture and graphics, realizing that my artistic expression would be complete through painting. In my works, I explore the landscape of the fast-approaching demise of our world’s habitat for both humans and wildlife, and how it’s intrinsically tied to humanity’s own ability to thrive. By bringing forth some of the world’s most iconic birds, resembling different iconic identities of our culture and society, I hoped to rekindle a long-forgotten connection to the wild and thus the metaphor is reflected in a fantasy of a paradisiac society expressing the same joy and drama we find in our culture.
