Description
The journey I took while creating this work was to conjure from a chaotic initial pencil drawing through a series of aesthetic decisions of colour, form, intuitive geometry and placement in space using acrylic paint to achieve the creation of a playful colourful abstract landscape.
This landscape invites the viewer to contemplate the possibility of Endlessness as a state of self replicating, reassuringly eternal consciousness, that exists in multi forms of physicality of expression. Is Endlessness a source of perpetual creation and inventiveness of matter rather than a period to be endured and tolerated. So this piece suggests a challenge to the nature of our experience of time which is actually impermanent, relative to the actual continuation of life and nature in all its forms which is everlasting.
Sue Nicholas –
Sue Nicholas’s paintings sparkle on the walls, because of the intriguing relationship created between the kaleidoscope of shapes and vibrant colour randomly used. Delving into the pictures there are impressions of distances and movement resulting from the interactions between shapes and colour , but these do not detract from the playful impact and simplicity of the painting at first glance.
