Description

GeoBio is about the relationships between humans and the earth through our DNA sequence and the  physical body with the structure of the earths mineral geology.

As humans we are encouraged to see the earth as a separate entity but the underlying mineral formations through its core have much in common with the basic building blocks of human life from silica to shared mineral formations which are crucial to the individual life force we manifest in this physical presence we occupy.

My inspiration for making this digital original was to express the joy of this relationship that actually also places us directly within earths biome. I am concerned that humanities lack of awareness of its shared origins create a casual concern for the environment that we have come  to believe is separate from us.

I became interested in geological structures whilst working on a series of 8 web images for the University of Brazils geological website in 2002.

The print is packaged within a rigid presentation box for postage.  It is easy to fix to a wall using command strips as it is very light.
